Examples, homework for novice trainee ?

Hi NG,

i am searching for tiny (documented) working examples for an trainee
who has problems to get the "logic thoughts" of different little
algorithm.
Like "least common multiple" ore some "string" thinks.

A test I was once given was to choose 6 random + non-duplicate numbers from
a range 1..48 (lottery)
