Example of ISerializationSurrogate

Is there an example of how to use ISerializationSurrogate
in VB.NET? I think I understand the concept, but I can't
seem to get it to work.

ISerializationSurrogate along with caveats on its use.

The example is in C#, however its straight forward enough it should be
easily converted into VB.NET.
