ewido on-line scanner broken?

I have always been able to use www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/ when looking
at a computer running microsoft's XP or Vista operating system that seems
to be running a bit slow... However the last few systems I have looked
at the on line scan only shows an error instead of downloading the
current scan data base...

The http://support.f-secure.com/ols/start.html seems to work, with
internet explorer... F-secure has no chrome, Firfox or Opera support...

Hello JR:

It makes one wonder why the systems you've been involved with didn't
already have a superior antispyware scanner in-place. We know that
ewido has become part of AVG. Even with its own shortcomings, AVG has
earned great respect. Have you considered investigating the field for a
much better product?

Thanks for your reply. Sometimes it is a phone call asking for help and
this was an easy tool for an uninformed users to locate and run. I know
there are better tools, but as an on-line scan it was a great tool to
have the person that never goes any place but to their on-line e-mail get
caught in forgetting they surf more than they explained...

I still do not know if the site is broken, or is being effectively
blocked by changes made in systems by malware...

f-secure.com/ols is an alternative, but I was asking if anyone knew of a
change, blocking or failure in ewido.net/en/onlinescan
