Every boot I get "files waiting to be written.." no files & can't

Every time I boot I get "files waiting to be written.." balloon, click on it
and there are NO files to be written and it will not let me delete them (the
invisible files).
Any fixes??
 
Click inside the balloon and click "delete temporary files" in the lefthand
frame of the resulting explorer window.

Also...
Keep getting "You have files waiting to be written to CD" message.
