Why?

Why? This is a great app. It is comparable to MS OneNote but with a much
better interface. If you haven't given this one a look, I highly recommend
it. Great way to keep all your notes, info, contacts, photos, etc, all in
one, searchable, place.

I had a look at it, saw the ugliest and most impractical interface
I've seen for ages and uninstalled it again.

There are plenty of alternatives for textual information, e.g.
Essential PIM, TreePad, KeyNote... I don't want to store pictures in
the same place as my notes and other textual information, and don't
want to use one piece of software for everything.

I looked at it, too. Downloaded it. Found it clutzty and just not
friendly to use. Off it goes!

Looks like it might be useful:

I like it's search capability. Just type in keywords (can be more than
one) and the entries containing them are instantly displayed. You don't
even have to click a "search" button.

I downloaded it and I'm checking it out. So far I like it. On my
computer it uses far less ram than any of the other similar programs
I've tried. I like one program that can do a lot without using up much ram.

De gustibus...I prefer OneNote interface: it's bigger, clear and more
customizable; moreover, OneNote is able to create small (and singles for
each category) files, even using images (big plus over many programs
e.g. KeyNote; only alternative I've found was creating an html file
[with Namus6, very easy but limited http://namu6.com/ ]).

Even creating a blank database, EverNote create 3 new files of 262K +
32K + 32K : is it normal or is a bug ? :-/

By the way, OneNote is not freeware so I'm still trying EverNote...

I too prefer OneNote's interface BUT, EverNote has a working extension to
collect data from Firefox, OneNote does not. So, my choices are to use
OneNote and give up Firefox, or to use EverNote and keep Firefox. It would
be nice if somebody could reverse-engineer Evernote's Firefox extension so
that it would work with OneNote instead.
