Everest Free Edition: No more??? Solution available!

I lost my hard drive and did not back up Everest. Now, I must buy it for $30
plus $15 per year for upgrades. My need for Everest is such that I would pay
a one-time $15 charge, but not more. What to do???

Bravo to Major Geeks! They still offer the 2.20 version, current last
summer. A great program, I just don't use it that much. Thanks, Major Geeks!

Barring a major change of heart, there will be no updates to the free
version of Everest.

Aida32, the precursor to everst is still in the wild. Another program,
called Belarc Advisor is out there, too.

Paul, I wonder how often it is necessary to update Everest? Many of the
parameters would not seem to change over time. Of course, some do, but there
are other ways to obtain the information. Thanks for pointing out Aida!

I think it won't become pressing for a few years at least, until there
are too many new standards.
