Has anyone seen the about error message and know what the
fix is. Here's what happens on my machine:
1. I launch Windows Explorer, the My Computer window opens
2. I click on My computer in the left pane of the window
3. The flashlight appears on the right pane and takes
forever for the My Computer Icon to expand.
4. I check the Event Viewer for errors and the current
line shows the following:
Type: Error, Source: DCOM, Category: None, Event: 10010
5. Event Properties shows the following:
The server {A1F4E726-8CF1-11D1-BF92-0060081ED811} did not
register with DCOM within the required timeout.
6. When I go out to the Windows help and Support Center,
the Symbolic Name shows: EVENT_RPCSS_SERVER_START_TIMEOUT
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ted
