Win XP Pro, SP1, 1024 DDR Ram P4, 3.2
When I examine the event viewer, I always have only one yellow triangle
- but I don't understand it:
Under application - source is userenv and the event ID is 1517
The message reads:
Windows saved user (my machine name and my name as the administrator and
the only user) registry while an application or service was still using
the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's registry has
not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no longer in
use.
This is often caused by services running as a user account, try
configuring the services to run in either the LocalService or
NetworkService account.
What does this mean?
TIA
