Event time tracking

I need to track an event from a date/time starting point. It may span
weekends and I must not count weekends, holidays, lunch break or any time
outside regular workhours (08:00 to 17:00) and must track elapsed time
between milestones that could be as many as 6 and the overall time to finish
the event. Each milestone is tracked by date/time. I've tried a lot of
functions and combinations (WORKDAY, NETWORKDAYS, etc. etc. and everytime
there's a new glitch!

Any suggestions?

By the way, I MUST do it in EXCEL!
