Hi

I'm connecting to the IRDA port (IrNetv1 i.e. "IRDA0-0") service in RRAS in
Windows 2000 (SP4) from a third-party device. When I leave "authentication
mode" in netsh as NODCC the peer connects successfully (with no
authentication) and network communication can proceed, however when I set
STANDARD the connection does not succeed.

In the Event Log I get the two events shown below. That is when MD5CHAP is
used. If I disable all authtypes expect PAP the authentication succeed.

So, primarily I'm interested to find what the 3221225594 (i.e. C000007A I
think) error code in the 681 event represents, it is not described in
KB273499.
