Hi all,
I have a similar problem with my computer as the one described in the
post:

http://groups.google.no/group/micro...de+2250+printer&rnum=2&hl=no#7091e2cc8cae5385

to this group.
I have:
* deleted and uninstalled all printer drivers and tcpip ports. Through
add and remove programs and at the printer spooler itself.
* Reinstalled one printer driver (newest) and created new tcpip port.
* connected to the printer through telnet and printed the commands sent
from the console window.
* cried a little
* threatened my co workers
* uninstalled the KB896423 patch, and reinstalled it again after i
found out that it didn't work with that one taken away.
* used the guides at
:http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/Printing to Print Server device.htm
, http://www.coribright.com/windows/Article One.htm
* tried to print to numerous (3) different printers (2 X Xerox, 1 x
canon) same error.
Can anyone please help me?
I'm running: Microsoft Windows XP, pro, v 2002, SP2
on a IBM R51 with 1Gb Ram.

I have a very similar problem. On my end it is only isolated on a couple of
W2K clients.
It appears that when I go in the properites of the printer I have no access
to the Ports tab at all
and the IP Addresses for all my network printers have disapreared. The only
way I can get
this working is to restart the client and in ten minutes time the printer is
accessable again.
However, the very next day when I come in, access is denied to the printer
again and again
I restart.

I've even added a couple of users to the Print Operators group and that has
not worked.

Thanks.
