Event ID: 5775 Errors

Since removing and reinstalling AD to effect a domain name
change I am getting errors in the system log that records
related to the old domain cannot be deregistered eg:

Deregistration of the DNS
record '_kerberos._udp.olddomain.com. 600 IN SRV 100 88
servername.olddomain.com.' failed with the following error:
DNS operation refused.

This message is repeated for other server records related
the server in the old domain. How do I get rid of these
references.

TIA

Michael

An ipconfig /all unedited and the actual domain name in ADUC will help quite
nicely.

Thanks for your reply. Forgive my paranoia, but I'd prefer to keep IP
addresses and domain names generic as this is a public forum. The anonymized
output of ipconfig /all is:

Primary DNS Suffix . . . . . . . : msnet.newdomain.com
Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid

IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No

WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No

DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : msnet.newdomain.com
newdomain.com

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 01-BA-DD-0D-E1-0D

ADU&C domain name is "msnet.newdomain.com" as reported in ipconfig.

Yes, updates are enabled. All entries for the new domain are present. There
are no problems with name resolution for the new domain. Solution was
provided by 'btw'. See relevant post.

Thanks for taking the time to attend.

Oops... I guess 'w' and 'm' are similar if you are upside down to start!!
Appologies to 'btm' for the error as well as thanks for the solution.

They look good. Did you enable updates on the msnet.newdomain.com zone?
