Event ID 51:

I receive EVENT ID: 51 An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0
during a paging operation.

Microsoft say there is Hotfix for this issue but they have to be conatacted
first. Is there anywhere else I can download this hotfix without going
through Microsoft support?

Hi Damien:

Error 51 normaly makes reference to a likely error on your hard disk drive,
so keep an eye on it, and make regulars backups of your data.

I do not think, may be i am wrong, that a hotfix could solve that.

If you contact MS the might send you a HF free of charge if it proven that
it is software bug.

MS won't charge you for a hotfix - just call their support and specify that
you are calling for a "know problem" and mention the article containing the
information about the hotfix. However, a hotfix may or may not help as this
error can occur in many conditions. See the comments here:
