event id 12 VolSnap

Getting event id 12 source VolSnap when trying to do a ntbackup.
I can't seem to find much information on this error, not even on microsoft
support site.
Anyone have any info on this error? It *seems* to be appearing while
symantic corporate 7.5 is updating its definitions, but I will have to
change the backup time to confirm this.

Are you sure it is 12 and not 21 ?

I'm positive its 12 - just double checked it.
here is the description text:
The shadow copy of volume C: became low on diff area space before it was
properly installed.

Its actually followed 15 minutes later by event 25, and I can find some info
on microsoft support site about that one, but its really for windows server,
and these errors are showing up on a windows xp workstation.
