I regularly get an error in the event viewer "The server
{F3A614DC-ABE0-11D2-A441-00C04F795683} did not register with DCOM within the
required timeout."
I have Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 service pack 2. I have
uninstalled messenger in case this related to the error. I believe I get the
error when the computer is on but I am not even at home. I checked the one
note that tells about modifing the registry and it seems to be OK, (5. On the
Edit menu, click New, click String Value, and then add the following registry
value:
Value name: PrimaryService
Data type: REG_SZ
Value data: .NET Messenger Service )
Do you have an idea of what I might try or do I ignore this error?
Steve
