Which group would one use to discuss events such as the following:

2/12/2005 1:23:56 PM COM+ Error (98) 4691 N/A ACCES The run-time environment
was unable to initialize for transactions required to support transactional
components. Make sure that MS-DTC is running. (DtcGetTransactionManagerEx():
hr = 0x8004d01b)

Circumstances? When does it happen? Is there actually a problem or are you

I am having problems communicating over a USB 2.0 port with a Maxtor
OneTouch II external drive. It works fine on a 1.1 port. I am trying
figure out what could cause this entry so to start what does it mean? I
could not find any information at the event site on Microsoft. Msdtc.exe is
in the Windows\System32 subdirectory. How do I make sure it is runnning?

Hi Bill,

I'm not sure they're related. Do other USB2 devices work ok on this port?
Tried Maxtor support yet?

Msdtc.exe should show in the processes tab of Task Manager (hit
ctrl+shift+escape).
