Event 1373 and 1528

Hi all,

My PDC keep receiving event 1373 and 1528 every half an hour after we
promoted an additional DC. The error is co-related to ISM's SMTP object
which I think should only be used for inter site replication. We have
another "external trusted" site. The intra-site replication seems to work
fine but funny thing is that each DC can only see another 2 DC (should be
3). The replication topology seems OK as DC1 cannot "replicate" to DC2
(because there's no DC2 entry for me to generate replication) but DC2 would
still be able to replicate from DC1 through DC3 and DC4. Any help would be
very much appreciated.

Thank you & regards,
Ryan

Check in sites & services to see if you are using any SMTP inter-site
transports? I would suggest using IP instead. If it isn't already, link
the default-site-link to both of your sites.
I believe you can see those errors on a DC that does NOT have Outlook or
Outlook Express installed, due to the missing CDO library.

Hi there, there's no entry for smtp in the inter-site transport, we have the
default ip transport for "default-first-site" though. The trust between the
two sites is "external". The server that logged the error has Exchange
2000, Outlook 2000 and Outlook Express 6 installed. I have read through
some article about reinstalling Outlook Express. Do you know detail on why
this will help to slove the problem? I believe someone has somehow
reinstalled Outlook 2000 on this server. Should I reinstall OE or Outlook?

Thanks for your help.
