Event 1311

I keep getting an event log error 1311 on one of my
servers directory service logs. This is the only server
with this error.

"The Directory Service consistency checker has determined
that either (a) there is not enough physical connectivity
published via the Active Directory Sites and Services
Manager to create a spanning tree connecting all the sites
containing the Partition
CN=Configuration,DC=grhs,DC=nf,DC=ca, or (b) replication
cannot be performed with one or more critical servers in
order for changes to propagate across all sites (most
often due to the servers being unreachable).

For (a), please use the Active Directory Sites and
Services Manager to do one of the following:
1. Publish sufficient site connectivity information such
that the system can infer a route by which this Partition
can reach this site. This option is preferred.

2. Add an ntdsConnection object to a Domain Controller
that contains the Partition
CN=Configuration,DC=grhs,DC=nf,DC=ca in this site from a
Domain Controller that contains the same Partition in
another site.

For (b), please see previous events logged by the NTDS KCC
source that identify the servers that could not be
contacted."

I have can force replication and it appears to work fine.
I have one domian, with 4 of my servers housing ADS.
There is only one server giving me this error. Any ideas
anyone?

In certain rare conditions, the error will appear erroneously. This is more
typical in environments with large numbers of sites, domain controllers, and
domains.

The steps from KB 214745 will very likely resolve the issue. If all steps
from the article have been exhausted but the error still appears, you can
open a free MS support case to obtain the fix referenced in KB819249.

819249 You Receive an "Event ID 1311" Message Every 15 Minutes in the
Directory
