Event 10010 DCOM

I get this error on bootup and it runs a couple of times

source : dcom
cat. : none
event id : 10010
The server (A1093992-8BEB-4307-943B-3FF7023AD1E2) did not register with dcom
within the required timeout.
I've tried to locate event id definitions but having a hard time....

Search the registry for the string A1093992-8BEB-4307-943B-3FF7023AD1E2
it should give you an idea of what component is causing the error. In
my opinion if you don't use or need DCOM (and few do) you should just
disable it. It's nothing more than a huge security hole on your pc.

What is the offical purpose of DCOM? if it is nothing but a big security
hole? I will disable it if im not using it aswell.

Read here, it will give you a quick crash course on it. There is a
small utility there that you can download and use to test DCOM
vulnerability and safely disable it.
