Quick question about the VS.NET EULA. I was having a conversation with
someone today and we were trying to determine if it's permissible to install
VS.NET 2003 on two computers from one set of CD's; only one developer will
be using both computers, but we were wondering if, from a *strict* EULA
standpoint, this was allowed; or does the EULA require the purchase of 2
copies of VS.NET or multiple licenses, or some other combo? This is for a
company and management wants to stay in strict compliance.

TIA,
Michael C., MCDBA

what about reading the EULA hey?
I always found this was too complex a document and when they require you to
check the box to continue they were surely kidding.
unfortunately not....

So reinstall completely to read the EULA? I guess that won't be so bad so
long as I don't have to completely uninstall first and then reinstall just
to get to the EULA.

Thanks,

hye, my post was humoristic!
anyway, the EULA often ship as a .rtf file in the insatalltion dir.

search for *.rtf in program file, plent of 'EULA.rtf' would certainly
popup!!!

I know you were kidding around, but it was an excellent point! I did a
search for a file containing "End-User License Agreement" on the install
CD and found the file containing it. It seems to say that you can
install with one copy and one license on multiple machines owned by the
same org., but only if a single developer will be using them. I've
already recommended that they err on the side of caution and get the
extra licenses.

Thanks,
Michael C., MCDBA
