Hello -

I am running WIN XP Pro with Outlook 200 as my email tool.

I have a directory that has a bunch of old files in it and one of those is a
Eudora executable. I used to use this on a ZIP disk in 98/99 to get email
on my University computers.

The other day I clicked on the executable and it ran fine and I was able to
peruse old Eudora emails.

The problem is that now whenever I click on a 'mailto' or an email link on a
web page I get a couple of error messages about not being able to find
something to do with Eudora.

I would like things the way they used to be...

Please help...

Have you been able to solve this issue. I am having the same problem and
can't find any answers.

You may need to edit your Registry to correct the mailto association. You
can find this in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\mailto\shell\open\command. I also found
it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\Mail\Microsoft
Outlook\Protocols\mailto\shell\open\command and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Sofwtare\Clients\Mail\Outlook
Express\Protocols\mailto\shell\open\command, but I don't think these latter
two will affect what you see.

Thanks for the info. However, in each of these instances, Outlook is
specified, but I still have the problem.

Where else could the default e-mail be pointing to Eudora? IE Tools /
Programs has been addressed also.
