I use XP. A few days ago I tried to make my desktop to connect to my
recently-purchased notebook on LAN. After I have finished network
installation wizard, XP went down.
It showed a page of error message with some guidance for only 5 sek and XP
restarted. It's something about making sure that PC had enough disk space,
which I have, and bios updating.
Since then I cannot use internet from the desktop.
I can use internet from the notebook, though.
After I have connected my notebook to the hub, which is connected to
the router and other computers, my desktop had started to complain that
the speed of the hus is too slow for the internetconnection. (2Mb per sec)
Does this have something to do with the problem?
Of course I can try to update BIOS but I want to avoid that
because I have some bitter experience with it.
Does anyone know other options? Have I maybe spoiled Ethernet card?
