I have a hp compaq nx9010 laptop with a ethernet controller that I need to
identify; the details are Device Instande Id,
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0013&SUBSYS_CB2114B9&REV_01\4&22BB770D&0&0050, any help?

You can save this and open it in Wordpad later. This is an
unofficial list, compiled by volunteers. The official list
is kept secret as far as I know.

Which would suggest it is a wireless adapter that you've listed.

If you have an Ethernet port physical connector on the machine,
then take another look in your VEN/DEVs to find it. In some cases,
the Ethernet port can be part of the chipset, so the MAC will be
by the same company as the main chipset. That is cheaper than
using yet another chip external to the chipset, for Ethernet
wired usage.
