i am new to this newsgroup and i just got windows xp a
couple of months ago so i hope this works, when i turn my
computer on i get three errors one saying error loading
mouse, two error loading keyboard, three run-time error
424 object req'd -- after i delete them everything works
fine -- what to do!

second small question should i be running automatic
updates that keep on poppong up every couple of days, i
have heard that it causes alot of problems with other
drivers or hardware you may have. besides the above my
computer is working well.

hey thanks for your time!

Go into the device manager and peruse the status of these devices.
(right click my computer/properties/hardware/device manager)
Also check the event viewer for errors:
type eventvwr.msc from the RUN box

Hundreds of people are having problems with automatic updates.
Many people, my self included have turned the whole system off
and update the pc manually by visiting the windowsupdate site
once a week or so.
