Morning,
I'm getting cant find F2564201.cab when trying to install fp2003 on xp sp2.
Ive tried on home and pro systems, same results. Anyone have a clue what
the fix or workaround is?

Wes, Thanks-- I've cleaned the CD and looked for the file. The file is
not there.. I've used this same disk on my desktop (XP SP1) no problems at
all. My brother is having the same issue. Any other suggestions...

Un-install Windows XP SP2, install FP2003, and any updates, then re-install Windows XP SP2

Yes unistalling and then reinstalling sp2 is an option. However, the
restore for my system includes sp2 and I dont see an option to remove sp2...
Plus you would think that the 2 MS products would work together. Ive
tried cleaning the CD, lookng for the file F2564206.cab its no where to be
found. There has got to be a more vialbe workaround.

You should see SP 2 listed under Add/Remove programs, however unless when you installed it, you told
it to make back up, do not uninstall it.

I did not have any problems installing Office 2003 and FP2003 on Windows XP Pro with SP2.

I have no idea, as I can find no reference to it in the MS KB or any Office 2003 CD.

If you have any Anti-Virus applications installed, do you have them totally disabled?

I would suggest calling MS Tech Support for help with installing.

You might try copying the whole CD to your hard drive and try installing
it from there.
