ERROR_NO_SYSTEM_RESOURCES during device driver installation

Hi folks!

When trying to install drivers (for a USB multi card reader), the process
is interrupted with error number 1450. First, registering the coinstallers
fails (E057), then the default installer fails as well (E157).

How can I find out exactly _which_ system resources are missing?

(Though I strongly suspect something to be broken anyway. Further info: The
multi card reader worked fine until I tried to install drivers for a Nokia
DKU-2 cable.)

ciao

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the USB HUB device(s), Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the
device drivers again automatically.

It worked, great! I had only dared to uninstall the USB mass storage
device, lest I would loose USB functionality completely.

That means, the complaint about system resources was bogus, just a
corrupted river, right?

Anyway, thanx a lot!
