Error while previewing

Hi,
I am new to Movie Maker and am dying to try it out, however, whenever I add
a clip to the timeline, rewind the timeline, then play it, it won't play. I
tried pressing play on the video part of it but a message came up saying 'An
Unknown Error has Occured'
If anyone could help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to help me with my problem. As to your question
about what source file it is I'm not sure. I just downloaded this file from a
site on the Internet, then saved it, then imported it. It plays while it is
in the collections but as soon as I add it into my timeline it just won't
play. And the player keeps saying paused. I'll ask around tohelp find
whatsource file it is though and let you know. I am sure however that it is
not a digital camcorder.
