error while archiving Sent Items folder

I keep receiving the following error message whils trying
to archive my sent items folder:

"Error while archiving folder "Sent Items" in
sore "Mailbox-Garrison Larry-lgarri". Some items could
not be copied. They were either moved or deleted, or
access was denied."

My archive folder is located on my local computer hard
drive while my main Outlook folder is on a network drive.
The items in my Sent Items folder stay put and are not
moved to the archive folder.

Any ideas on what causes this error? I searched the
KnowledgeBase and did not come up with anything.

I'm having the same trouble in Outlook 2000. I think it
may be due to the rescent patches for Office that we have
applied.

What I found is if you open your emails with attachments
that are going to be archived, and then close them, run
the Archive option again, it will work.

It may have to do with the virus scanner as well. I
noticed a similar problem on the MS KnowledgeBase with
Norton's antivirus software but we are running McAfee here.
Any more thoughts on this would be helpful...
