Whenever I start Word XP I get the message

"Compile error in hidden module: autoexec

Anyone know what's going on

Thanks,

This is an indication that on starting Word is trying to run a autoexec
macro that is not working correctly. This could be an autoexec macro in
normal.dot, but you would probably know if you had added such a macro. More
likely you have installed an add-in that is inappropriate for your Word
version and the error is there. There is even a possibility of macro virus,
but exhaust the other two possibilities first.

Thanks for that. It's down to a macro in 'PDFmaker.dot' called AutoExec.main -- and it's about to get severely deleted.

PDFMaker.dot is one of the add-ins for Adobe Acrobat - you most likely have
the wrong version of the add-in.
