error when selecting Design Mode for a form

From my XP Pro machine running Office 2003, one of my forms will not allow
any modifications.
Whenever the form is copied and pasted into a db or an attempt is made to
rename it or an attempt is made to open it in Design Mode, the "Microsoft
Office Access has encountered a problem and needs to close." message is
diplayed and I am forced out of the db.

Hi Tim,
it sounds as if the form has become corrupted. Open your most recent backup
and copy the form back into your working database - you have been keeping
regular backups - haven't you.
