I converted the disks to dynamic on the windows2003 server. We then needed
to start from scratch and scrapped the server. I restarted using compaq
smartstart - recreated the logical disk (RAID5) and reformatted the disk.
However when you get to installing windows2003 it comes up with
DISKSPACEREQUIREMENTS information is corrupt or missing.

I know this has to do with having the disks set to Dynamic previously. Does
anyone know of a way to reset the disks so that windows will install?

Many Thanks
Kim

If you are reinstalling from scratch and have already formatted the drives
with the RAID controller how can this be form the disk being converted to
Dynamic? The previous operating system was the only who knew that these disk
were dynamic. Sounds like the RAID is setup wrong or the formatting was not
completed correctly. You may have to perform a low level format from the
SCSI tool or press "S" during setup to specify the correct drivers during
setup and supply setup with the floppies that have the correct SCSI drivers
for your RAID card.

I was sure the dynamic disk conversion wrote to the MBR or LDM table which
I thought was causing the problem.
Anyways after running fdisk and recreating the MBR etc I then tried to boot
up using the windows 2003 CD and get dmio.sys is corrupted.
Any ideas?

Thanks
