M Margthom Mar 12, 2009 #4 Thanks, however, this is not quite the same problem. I can use Word 2007 with no problems, saving etc is fine. When I am finished using the program, I close the file and then Exit Word. It is then that the problem occurs....saying "Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry ........" the programme will restart (I can uncheck that box then, letting it send an error to Microsoft) This happens 95% of the time when I close the program. Margaret
