I recieved my first laptop recently, and today when I
attempted to run a Windows Error-check on my hard drive I
ran into a problem. A message comes up stating that the
computer cannot perform a disk check when Windows is
loaded and asks if I want to schedule one upon my next
reboot, just as it would on my desktop. I restarted, and
the Windows disk check program loaded as usual; however,
instead of proceeding with the scan, the scanning program
says something to the effect of "unable to directly open
the volume" and starts up windows normally. What's worst
about this is that now my computer attempts to run a disk
check every time I restart, and I recieve the same error
message every time. Any help regarding this issue would
be greatly appreciated.
