Error when converting Word doc to PDF

Hi,

Perhaps someone can help me here.

When I try to convert a Word doc to PDF, I get an error msg saying there was
an error when printing to "filename/path/*.pdf" Why is that? I have Word
2000, Acrobat 5.

It happens when I use either the Acrobat icon on the toolbar or when I try
to use Acrobat Distiller--same error msg pops up. Any thoughts?

There's a bug in Acrobat 5 relating to filenaming. For some reason it
sometimes chooses "*.pdf" as the filename -- this is not a valid name. The
problem is fixed in Acrobat 6, so I can't remember the exact solution, but
a) make sure your Word document is saved before creating the PDF, b) be
careful with the Acrobat dialog where you choose/set the filename, or c) try
using PDFMaker instead of Distiller.
