error uninstalling word 97 without CDs

Hi Folks. First time post. I'm trying to uninstall Word 97 (which I bought
ages ago) so I can cleanly install Offix XP Pro 2002, which I also bought.
However, when I click "Change/Remove" for "Microsoft Word 97" in Add/Remove
Programs, it says "Please insert your microsoft word cd 1". I don't have it,
and I don't understand why I'd need it to uninstall. Ugh. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Where are your CDs? You really do need them.

What you are trying to do is probably unnecessary as when you install Office
XP, it will offer to do it for you.
