error STOP: 0x0000008 message after installing normal updates on S

My system has been running just fine until yesterday. A message came up
saying I had some Microsoft updates that needed to be installed, so I ran a
check yesterday and Microsoft said I had 35 updates to install, so I let the
system do it. After the updates were all installed, I rebooted and got the
blue screen with this error message: STOP: 0x0000008 (0xC0000005, 0x806373F1,
0xBA1E7894, 0x00000000).

Any idea what caused this? I checked the error file, and the first error
that showed up was one saying that the IE6 upgrade failed with 0x8007F0EA,
KB953838.

I just did a system restore point to yesterday before I did the upgrades,
and now my system seems to be running fine. I still need to do the updates,
so I was wondering what might have caused the problem?

Thanks,
Deauxmain

Run disk cleanup then try to download the update from here:
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP (KB953838
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...30-138E-4B15-AB8D-4FCE44CC0BC2&displaylang=en

Make sure to disbale your Anti-virus/anti malware when installing and also
make sure you are not connected to the internet then also don't forget to
RENABLE THE ANtivirus and Malware to be protected from intruders/hackers and
viruses.
