Error reading registry key

I am working on a win2k pro system, that every time I boot
the PC up I get the following error:

Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?

Error reading registry key

Odd error. I assume it is coming from an application that is starting up
when Windows boots. I would do a clean boot not loading any startup items.
The easiest way is to copy MSConfig.exe from a Windows XP system and run
it. Disable everything and test and work backwards from there to determine
what program is causing the error.
