Error on OE afterSystem Standby

When I bring my computer out of System Standby, I have a yellow error
triangle and the word "Error" on the status bar in the bottom right corner
where "No New Messages" normally appears. I have to close OE and re-open to
remove it, and any mail sent while on system standby is now delivered. I
used to be able to hear the notification sound and receive mail while on
standby, but no longer. Any ideas?

Just click "Send/Recv" to get rid of the icon. No reason to restart OE. Double-click the icon to
find out what the error message is. Then we may be able to help you further. As far as I know, when
the computer goes into standby mode, most everything is powered down. So you typically wouldn't hear
any sound or anything. There may be some setting to bring the computer out of standby if a certain
thing happens, but I don't know where exactly.
