Error on HDD. MS dosn't know how to fix

(The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal
processing. HRESULT was C0000005 from line 44 of
d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. )

This is the error. The D: drive trys to load then freezes the computer. It
only happens when I access two or three programs

Any help would be awesome!

The Windows Live Messenger is a beta. There is also an MSN
Messenger out as a beta.

Historically earlier versions of both Windows Messenger and MSN
Messenger have caused problems. You will find Windows Messenger
in the Windows Components part of Add / Remove Programs. I am
not sure about MSN Messenger as I have not got it installed.

Whilst I have Windows Messenger installed I no longer use it. I find
email using Outlook Express a more satisfying experience.

You may be able to clear the error message by uninstalling and
reinstalling
but back up any important messages before trying.
