Hello,

First off, thanks for the help. I'm using FP2000 on a Win98 OS. I'm
publishing to an outside server, Deerfield Hosting. I have published
to this server many times successfully. Here is the problem, Now I get
this error message when I publish. "An Error Occurred Accessing your
FrontPage web files. Authors - if authoring against a web server
please contact the webmaster for this servers site. Webmasters -
please see the server's system log for more details".

Also, my navigation bars will no longer publish. They are on my web
but they do not get published. I tried removing them and then putting
them back but it did not work.

Thanks for the help.

Pete

Can you open your live site directly in FP on the host?

Have you contacted the host as indicated in the error message?

Hello Thomas,

Thanks for responding. Yes I can open up the site on the host. I ended
up uninstalling and reinstalling the FP Extensions on the server. That
didn't seem to make a difference. I managed to publish after I replied
yes to the "Do you want to Overwrite this file". I don't understand
why it would ask me that on files that I haven't worked on in months.
It seemed that FrontPage was looking at the web as a brand new web and
publishing it for the first time. I'm currently working on 3 webs that
are being published. As far as the nav bar goes, I just deleted the
nav bar on the web and built one manually. The sites in question are
www.funrunr.com , www.sandrunner.com , www.fastfriendmotorsports.com.
I have not contacted the host because I don't think it's on there end
because of the fact that it would publish sometimes. If you have any
insight to these nuisances i would apperciate it very much. Thanks
again.

Pete.

Any of the following could cause these:

1. Host restoring a your site or moving it to another server without your knowledge.

2. You un-install and re-installed FP on your local machine or install FP on a new machine, etc.
