Error msg: Saving page updates

M

Mike

I'm using Frontpage 2002 and have just updated a page with
some wordart. I have attempted to save the updates to that
page, but receive the following error message: "Frontpage
cannot save this document because a file with the same
name exists at this location. Please enter a different
name and try again." I've tried both the 'save' command
and the 'save as' command, both getting the same results.
I've not encountered this error before when modifying and
updating other documents.

Do you have a web open (File Menu | Open Web) when you do this?

Yes and No. I've had only the individual page open, and
the entire web open. Same result.

Are you opening the web first, then click the page to open it?

Check Tools | Page Options | Compatibility tab, that VML Graphics and down
level images are enabled.

You need to always have a web open first, before working on any content in
your web, as well as always importing any images or other documents into
your web before using.

I checked the VML Graphic and down level images. They are
set correctly. I then opened the web, and a page for
editing, and still encountered this same error message.

I've played around with various edits and I can make text
modifications, but not photos, graphics, or wordart
without encountering this error.
