Hi,
I have a number of Excel spreadsheets that are kept in a folder on my
desktop (Windoews XP desktop, Excel 97). Whenever I open on of the
spreadsheets, either by double clicking or by right clicking then
clicking on open, I get an error message which says that
"A documnet with the name xxxxx.xls is already open. You cannot open
two documents with the same name, even if the documents are in
different folders. To open the second document, either close the
document that's currently open, or rename one of the documents"
I don't have another document of the same name open anywhere, and when
i click "OK" the document I am trying to open opens as if there is
nothing wrong.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
