error messages

When I start up my PC I get the following messages which
are freezing my screens when I try to move from the
internet to windows.

TFTP 3016

TFTP 768

Both are followed by: To open this file windows needs to
know what program created it.

Dell has not been able to tell me how to fix this.

That is a weird problem! Read this:

"Abbreviation of Trivial File Transfer Protocol, a simple
form of the File Transfer Protocol (FTP). TFTP uses the
User Datagram Protocol (UDP)and provides no security
features. It is often used by servers to boot diskless
workstations, X-terminals, and routers."

Why does your PC think it's a server?
PS: when you are on the Internet, you are still in
Windows, so not sure exactly what you meant. By Windows,
did you mean a specific application? If so, which one?

These TFTP references could be a symptom of a virus. Scan this system with
an up to date antivirus program or one of the online scanners:
