Error messages on templates

Back in 1981 I wreote a SuperCalc templates for a spreedsheet. I ported
that over to qutoPro, then to lotus 123, now to Excel. I have just updated
to office 2003 and now my formulas show an error. They still work but they
show an error. During the late 80's i even went to a workbook that used
data sums in the worksheet with one sheet getting the data from the other
sheets. They still work but gthey show an error. I tried changing the
security level and that didn't work.
How do I get exc el to accept my template/macros?

Can you give us an idea of the formulae which cause the errors to
show? What errors are you getting - #REF, #NUM, #VALUE ??

=IF(F22<>0,MAXA(A$4:A21)+1,"") where column is the check number and column f
is where i put thenew check mount
=G21+E22-F22 Where G is the previous balance and e is the deposit and f
is the check amount

The above in on one workbook

Below is another workbook
='3708EVAN (2)'!E58 Where 3708evan (2) is a work sheet and E58 is the data
I want to put in this cell

The above errors are not a message but the affected cells are marked in the
cornets

Ah, do you mean that you are getting red or green triangles in the
corners of the cells which hold these formulae?
