When I open Outlook 2007 (which I recently installed in Windows 7 and
transferred accross from another pc). I get the following error box; 'The
Add-in "Google Desktop Search Outlook Addin" (C:\Program Files\Google\Google
Desktop Search\GoogleDesktopOffice.dll) cannot be loaded and has been
disabled by Outlook. Please contact the Add-in manufacturer for an update. If
no update is available, please ininstall the Add-in.

How can I fix this.? Thanks

Reinnstall and then uninstall Google Desktop Search again or try deleting the
file
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat

Thanks for your reply,

I have tried several un/reinstalls and the last one finally installed the
google search in the toolbar, however it doesn't stop the error message when
I start Outlook. The window 7 I am using is the 64-bit version (all the
forums and help I have come accross have been for the 32-bit version) From
what I can tell, it is trying to load a file in a path that doesn't exist any
more. I have also seerched for the .dll file and it doesn't exist.

Thanks again

Delete the file I named.

Rumplestiltscin,

It sounds as though you installed the Google Search tool bar for
browser however you did not install Google Desktop. Have you attempte
to install the correct version of Google Desktop for Windows 7? I
sounds as though this will fix your issue.

Should you require additional assistance and feedback, Microsoft doe
have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located her

well as engineers and support teams.
