Error Message

When clicking application on my desktop I keep receiving an error message. I
need help to figure out what is going wrong.
The error message reads: The file does not have a program associated with
it for performing the action. Create an association in the folder
Options Control Panel. The same error message also comes up when using my
games, Logitech, Netscape also.

Sounds like the .exe and .com file associations are messed up. Go to
this site, click Win XP Fixes in the left column, then File Association
Fixes in the middle column. Click on both the COM File Association Fix
and the EXE File Association Fix.
