error message

I use Outlook Express with Vista and Office 2007.
Sudently I can not open attched files. When I double click on a Word or
Excel file attached to an email just received, it gives me the error "The
file could not be found" and is looking in my "C" drive.
Before it would open the file in Word oe Excel as needed.
Any suggestions?

Is this in Outlook? If so, Outlook Express is irrelevent. See this:

I am using Outlook Express. When I double click on the attachment, the
application opens (either Word or Excel) and instead of opening the
attachment it displays a message saying it can not find the file and my only
choice is to save the file and then I can open it.
