Error Message

When I attempt to open my database, I get the message:
"There isn't enough memory to perform this operation. Close unneeded
programs and try the operation again."
1. I have been able to access the program before.
2. I have opened databases that are much larger than the one I am
attempting to open.
3. My computer settings are set to allow as large as I may need.

Any help would be great!

Hi,

How large is the .mdb database file? Getting near 2 gb perhaps? Also how
much free space is on the drive where the database is located.

How much memory does your computer have?

How many programs do you have running including all those in the lower right
corner?

Have you run a updated virus and spyware checker lately? You might have
something eating up memory.

Try opening the database while holding the Shift key. You might have
something that automatically runs on startup that is causing the problem.

All of that...and you umight try doing a Compact and Repair after you get it
open holding the Shift key.
