While in Outlook Express, I clicked on a link for a web
site and got a message, "Internet Explorer.......Could
not perform this operation because the default mail
client is not properly installed". This is the second
time this error message popped up. Then about 65 Explorer
web pages pop up. I got this message once trying to send
an e-mail to a computer tech. What does it mean? My
default mail client "Outlook Express" is working just
fine.

Thanks.....GH

Please scan with a current antivirus using updated definitions. What is
the result?

No change....GH

1) Please learn to post. Here is a link:
http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm

2) When I asked you "what is the result" of a virus scan, the answer "no
change" is not helpful. What av program did you scan with and did it
actually show that the machine is clean?

3) If you really scanned with a current av (meaning a program from 2002
at the latest but using the most recent virus definitions) and the
machine is clean, remove spyware/malware with Spybot Search & Destroy
from www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. After
you have installed both those programs, be sure to update their
"includes" list from within the programs. Then run them in Safe Mode.
Post back - with clear details of what you've done and what the results
were - if you need more help.
