error message when windows starts please help error loading c:\win

i am new with computers and need help with this issue. whne i boot windows
xp, a dialogue box reads:
error loading c:\windows\tttwain.dll
the specified module could not be found.
this is a new problem that appeared recently. where is this module? is it on
my windows xp disc? i did a system restore to the date when i bought this
machine.

Perhaps it's twain.dll? Some application is needing this file at startup.
